Patient data, clinical systems and HIPAA. We build your security program and keep it running.
Sound familiar?
What healthcare leaders are being asked.
By regulators, partners, and your own staff. We help you answer every one.
-
The regulators
"Show us your HIPAA risk analysis."
You geta written risk analysis that matches how you really work.
-
Your partners
"Do you protect the data we share?"
You getsigned agreements and proof you can send them.
-
Your clinical team
"Can we keep using this old device?"
You geta plan to protect equipment that can't be updated, without stopping care.
-
Your board
"What if we get hit by ransomware?"
You geta written plan for a hack, and a practice run with your team.
Why it matters
Security here is about patient care.
-
Downtime hits patients
When systems go down, care slows down.
-
Old equipment stays
Medical devices often can't be updated, so they need other protection.
-
Breaches have deadlines
HIPAA sets rules for who you tell and when.
-
Partners count too
Vendors who handle your patient data are part of your risk.
What you get
Ready for HIPAA. Ready for a hack.
Covers the HIPAA Security Rule, breach notification, HITECH and HITRUST.
-
We check where you stand
A HIPAA risk analysis and a report card on your security.
-
We fix what matters first
Starting with what would hurt patient care most.
-
We write the proof
Policies, partner agreements and the records HIPAA asks for.
-
We keep it current
Your security leader reviews it all as you grow.
Questions
Healthcare questions, answered.
Is a HIPAA risk analysis the same as a security assessment?
Not quite. A HIPAA risk analysis looks at threats to patient data. A security assessment looks at your whole program. We do both, and each one feeds the other.
How should we handle medical devices we cannot patch?
Keep them on their own network, limit who can reach them, and watch them closely. We help you list them and set that up.
Are we responsible for a breach at one of our business associates?
You can be. Your duties to patients don't go away, so we make sure your agreements and your plan cover it.

Regulatory and Framework Readiness
What HITRUST CSF r11 Requires That HIPAA Does Not
HITRUST CSF r11 is a contractual security certification increasingly required by health plans, business associates and investors. It builds on HIPAA's regulatory baseline with prescriptive technical controls, third-party validation and annual audits. Leadership must understand what the standard adds, who owns the work and how to demonstrate progress.

Regulatory Compliance
How HIPAA Security Rule Enforcement Changed in 2023 and 2024
The Office for Civil Rights has shifted how it evaluates HIPAA Security Rule compliance, moving from checklist audits to outcome-based assessments tied to enterprise risk management. Healthcare executives must now demonstrate that security decisions reflect documented risk, that governance is clear, and that technical safeguards match the organization's actual risk profile.
